Re: KS3 Sketchup Files

For someone like me - the only class I ever got a 'D' in was drafting; I could NOT see the 3-D, just lines - your Sketchup was a big help. Thank you, Forest.

Re: SEWER ADD-ONS

I think its clear that the sewers need the walls so there's something to support the buildings up above - but I may be wrong! Of course, one could put sewers directly between either Dwarvenite dungeon pieces or the resin ones. Just put the floors on the outside - lots of empty space under the city. ...

STREET PACK VALUE ANALYSIS

Back with a quick value analysis of the street pack At $60 painted, it comes to $5 per piece. More than twice the sewer piece cost, but of course these are 4x4, so the ratio is probably about the same...but Dwarvenite is cheaper than resin. For comparison, the (mostly) 4x4 resin DoE Hellscape 2 has ...

SEWER ADD-ONS

I use the price per piece as a rough measure of value of a set. The new add-on packs are a good candidate, because the all include useful pieces, and they are part of the same system. Here's the breakdown: MONSTER SEWER PACK: $1.70 SEWER WALL PACK: $2.03 SEWER FLOOR PACK: $1.16 SLUICEWAY PACK: $2.05...

Re: Engraving runes/signs and awesomeness...PS

PS: My results are nowhere as good as Ninja's, and you can't get sharp points without using a second, drill-type cutting tool!

Re: Engraving runes/signs and awesomeness...

Don't want to cut work from Ninja, but if you want to do this at home... FOR RESIN: A Dremel with a spherical cutting head the right size works freehand. You have to have a steady hand. use a clamp system to hold the piece, and I recommend a working edge (like the metal bar used to to cutting with a...

Re: KS1 Dungeon Tile Velcro Mod - OR...

I had this problem too. My solution was not QUITE as secure, but a whole lot less labor. 1. Get a sheet of cheap, fairly coarse grained felt. 2. Tack to a board the size you will transport (I find 2x2 sections are about the biggest feasible) 3. Build on the board. If using old resin pieces, the felt ...

How To Attache magnet Pieces...anywhere..no metal

Guys, bury hihg-gauss magnets (aka rare earth magnets ) in the gable, roof, balcony etc(2 if a hjeavyh piece) and includ a matching magnet to put inside the roof. Just match the magnets to weight of piece and thickness of wall.

This would even allow balcony etc on straight walls.

Re: KS3 Sketchup Files

Forest, that's
(A) Very helpful, and

(B) Very depressing.

TWO street sets ($100!) just to have enough streets for that layout?

urk....

I think the streets are going to be a huge problem. They are gonna cost more than the building sets they serve. Don't know what to say...
