Re: Amazon's “Rings of Power”

We have been enjoying Rings of Power more than House of the Dragon at this point. (But will be watching both each episode...) My wife is a GoT nerd and had read all the background books so she always has some comments about how the show has either matched or diverged from Martin's vision. We have n...

Re: Painting Waterfalls

these photos are a little better but they look less "busy" in real life, the foam/froth is reflecting a lot of light, great for in person, terrible for an amateur with a cell phone camera all light.jpg one light.jpg Love the color if it’s anywhere close to the in person tone. And I agree ...

Re: Should KS9 (or KS10...) be a Castles Redux?

I think eventually DF will return to Castles. The improvements they’ve made in their previous reboots (Dungeon of Doom, Caverns Deep) have been absolutely stellar, but they were also expensive. The added complexity boosts cost. Combine that with “post” pandemic increases in expenses (painting, shipp...

Very promising. I look forward to seeing more interaction between the grass and dirt tiles with Wildlands and Dreadhollow ground tiles.

Re: Galladoria KS

Saw the email today that the Frontier Fortresses STL Kickstarter is supposed to go live on Monday. Of even greater import to me, it sounds like they’ll be using some of those funds to provide those gorgeous wall and tower sculpts in their webstore in the future! I’m not nor will I ever be a printer,...

Re: Thoughts on the new Ashlar paint scheme

I don't see myself buying painted ashlar if it has any gray stone in it - whereas I would almost certainly have bought painted if it came in the previous scheme. I really want that pristine white look. Ultimately, this may mean I buy less. But we will see. I'm eager to see it in a bigger build. Fro...

Re: Thoughts on the new Ashlar paint scheme

Funny, I like the new scheme better. The challenge for me is the distinctness of the Ashlar. I can't see having more than one of those buildings on the table for my typical builds due to the fancy design. Of course a government complex, temple complex, etc. would be the exception. I would agree I c...

Thoughts on the new Ashlar paint scheme

The new Ashlar paint scheme I find I enjoy, but it still doesn’t seem to be quite what I expected or would want out of those particular sculpts. Nate said the original paint scheme looked a little too pink or creamy when they finally had enough multiples to do a larger build. I can imagine that. The...

I’ve been really tempted to install a pulley system from the ceiling with a nice walnut top. Remove the need for lower supports getting in the way and adjustable height when needed.
