Re: Post post postmortem on KS6

I completely agree about swell walls being wildly useful in caverns. When I saw them I instantly recognized they were critical to making more organic caverns, which is what I really wanted. But it is frustrating that one half is trifecta. It's kind of cool from the trifecta perspective, but from the...

Re: mixing painted and unpainted

With the increase in prices for painted, I will be getting unpainted that will have to be painted to match my current Dreadhollow. Also, the ongoing new Dreadhollow pieces will have a simplified paint scheme that I may have to touch up anyway (I plan on still getting a couple of the original sets). ...

Re: KS - Monster Fight Club - Ice Wilds

The reason I'm interested in at least some of the MFC trees is for variety's sake mixed with DF trees. I likely won't be getting too many DF pine trees since I want an assortment of the new trees, so the MFC evergreens will fill things out nicely. The different heights and slightly different colors ...

Re: Asmodeus overlooking the hellscape...

To be fair Law, I know that Sorn has had world class miniature painters do many of his figures. Perhaps all of them? So maybe he only gets some of the credit. ;) I've saved pics of many that he's had commissioned as inspiration shots for myself, if I ever get around to painting those same figures wh...

Apparently, there will still be no Passage Accessories, and no Passage Transitions. I especially want another one or two of the rising passage piece. I hope it doesn'...

Re: Cutout Escarpment

For the waterfall it makes sense to have the water portion be 4" wide, if they have the intention of making more 4" wide water tiles (like cavern water) that would match the that 4" width. Since outdoor tiles are set to be 6" size (or 3"), then an outdoor river would be made...

Hellscape too glossy?

I unpacked my relatively modest order of Hellscape. Overall I really like it. This is only the second painted dwarvenite that I've ordered after Dreadhollow. Is anyone else bothered by how glossy the black paint is? I am considering whether to spray it with some Dullcote or possibly brush on some ma...

Re: A hypothetically dark future for DF. With a question

I believe it’s more that a flat unsculpted tile is not exciting. It sounds like there’s actually a real chance this time that sculpted flowing/active water tiles could be part of the next KS. Flowing river tiles that match the waterfall would be very cool. BUT, underground water will be perfectly s...
