Re: Has DF outgrown Kickstarter as a platform

That last line..., I am speechless. If the attempt fails, then everything is ready to go up, over at KS. What I meant was that if they poured a bunch of money into their website and the attempt failed. Sure they could still run a KS but they also waisted a lot (assuming, as I have no idea w...

Re: Has DF outgrown Kickstarter as a platform

I think it’s a matter of “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.”. This has worked and continues to work. I am no IT person but it seems like the DF website would need one heck of an upgrade. If the day one activity was like the KS I am sure it would crash the site. I think many of us learned about DF thro...

Re: Is it Just me, or is Anyone Else a Bit Disappointed?

After listening to Nate I am no longer disappointed. For me there was some sticker shock and I didn’t realize how huge some of the pieces were. I was never going all in on this anyway. I am still not a fan of the way stretch goals are being handled but everything else is fine by me.

Re: Positivity

I loved the live stream. So many amazing pieces. The hard part is going to be choosing. I enjoy hearing Nate explain everything they are going through. It has got to be hard. All these artists are amazing.

Re: Likes and dislikes

Monolith’s recent post on how they have used Kickstarter thus far, and how they intend to use the platform moving forward, is rather topical. Their commentary on the use of stretch goals is also interesting, also topical... Re-establishing the risk factor at the center of the model MONOLITH FRIDAY,...

Re: Is it Just me, or is Anyone Else a Bit Disappointed?

The prices are pretty crazy, but I wonder how much they are inflated by some of these bling pieces. I'm waiting to see what kind of savings are possible by buying mainly the core sets, with just a sprinkling of the other packs. You hit the nail on the head for me. Until we see prices on core sets, ...

Re: Is it Just me, or is Anyone Else a Bit Disappointed?

A bit. Disappointed that Stefan seems to be phasing out and no longer running the show. It made more sense that they were a little disorganized when it was just him doing 90% of the sculpting. I think they have all their stretch goals planned out but they just never have the graphics ready. Not sure...

Re: Encounter prices vs. KS5

For all the hate for the encounter system, KS5 sure was successful. Do you believe most people just bought add-ons or that KS5 would have been more successful if it had been done like KS1 and KS2? Does the encounter system annoy you more in KS6 than KS5 less or has your hate of the encounter system...

Re: Likes and dislikes

My like is all the variety and my dislike is all the variety.

It is going to be hard to choose.

I agree with the above post. We need to break these KS into 2 smaller KSs. This is just too much at once and somethings are going to get overlooked.
