Re: Risers, elevators and frames for KS1

Blocks are just 50mm wood cubes from Hobby Lobby which are painted black. The caps... Google 50mm tubing inserts and the stuff will show up. They are not the greatest thing in the world, but they are useful for minor variations.

Cheers

Re: Risers, elevators and frames for KS1

This is pretty much all the walls and corners I have. I need to get more! It's fun to play around with this stuff and it is surprisingly stable. I have $160 of ramparts and wall foundation pieces coming in the next few weeks. I hope the scale works together. The KS 4 trays sound pretty cool, esp wit...

A few more printed: http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n450/papercut54321/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_0506.jpg http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n450/papercut54321/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_0507.jpg It's smart for Df to go high value/innovation with their new models. In 1 years time the older 50mm sets will be...

Re: Risers, elevators and frames for KS1

They were 3d printed. I don't want to go too much into it more than that but they are not hard to Google. I can state that 3d printed tiles are inferior to dwarvenite tiles by a wide margin, but 50mm scale frames are groovy.

Risers, elevators and frames for KS1

I really love my KS1 tiles, so much so that I put quite a bit of focus last spring in finding some off the shelf items that fit right in (50mm). Below find some items: 25 and 50mm tube caps (I think for tables), 50mm blocks from Hobby Lobby and some printed frames. Good fun and I need more corners! ...

Re: Castle tiles floor and elevation fit with KS1

Can anyone confirm if the Narrow dungeon passages from KS 2 and wall foundation blocks from KS 3 are one in the same with the same dimensions? I bough quite a few of the later thinking they were the former (but have yet to receive them so I cannot measure them).

Cheers!

Re: City Builder Less Versatile Than Expected

Based on the Q&A, the 8x8 castle floor pieces measure exactly 203.2mm x 203.2mm. The communication is greatly improving so kudos to DF. You can make up your mind if the 3.2mm difference over 4-6 tiles is acceptable.

But again thumbs up to DF for being transparent!

Re: Castle tiles floor and elevation fit with KS1

Based on the Q&A, we now know the 8x8 castle floors will be available (given enough funding) and the dimensions will be exactly 203.2mm x 203.2mm. So the question is, is the 3.2mm difference over 6 tiles a deterrent?

Re: City Builder Less Versatile Than Expected

I am quite happy I didn't spring for the street and sewer sets now, my frugality seems to have paid off (I did pick up quite a few ramparts sets though). Having made a few home brew 2x2, 4x4 and 9x9 floor pieces (in metric and by sight size), I know how gaps can be annoying when doing a layout. Even...
