Re: Castle tiles floor and elevation fit with KS1
Thank you for this thread, it has saved me much money and consternation. I do have a question about the Ramparts from KS3. I bought 3 sets of those and 2 sets of the narrow dungeon passages/wall blocks. I believe the passages are on the retro KS1, 2 grid, but I am not sure about the KS3 Ramparts. Du...

Re: Please post home-made DF Compatible pieces
Need some columns? Can't wait for the Dwarven Columns? Well, grab a Coke and a Smile! Here are some pics of some columns I made with bits of plastic bottles. To make the base flush, I made the mouth be down facing. The disadvantage of this is that the neck portion is a bit open, so the rolled up pla...

Re: HOme Depot 4x4 Floors
Sadly DF tiles are 25x25mm not 2 inch by 2 inch (~51mm x 51mm). A onesie is not gonna kill you, but if you are using multiples these can get kinda wonky.
Of course, nothing is stopping you from sanding/shaving/grinding off that ~one tricky mm.

Re: KS3: What YOU are ordering and why
With my order I will have a few extra wall foundation pieces. That is NOT a problem, on can just as easily top them with KS1 (or even KS2) wall pieces I feel.
Oh and the wife picked up the Playmobile Falcon Knights Castle plus various other bits for $80 used. Who am I to complain?!?
Cheers

Re: KS3: What YOU are ordering and why
Finalized on:
2x tower battlements
1x battlement walls
2x Wall foundations
Will mix well with my current getup. Passed on sewers. My thinking is it costs double. Once for buying, once for filling in negative space :p

Re: Please post home-made DF Compatible pieces
Sorry for my tadiness, but here are some of the hotglue tiles I made jazzed up a bit with paint. Gold paint, red divots (this one had a bit of black still in the gluegun, so there it is a bit greyish), red backing (making it pink) and gold backing (with gold fissures showing though). Just some inter...

Re: IMPORTANT REQUEST re: KS 3 inventory plans
KS is much akin to DFs old preorder system, just on a much larger scale. While it is dynamic, stressful, of differing quality and takes a bit longer to fulfull, it is essentially the same process. Order stuff (uncancellable!) to be manufactured in China and fulfilled from a warehouse in Tennessee (I...

Re: IMPORTANT REQUEST re: KS 3 inventory plans
I posted this in another thread, but I think it is just as salient here: I wouldn't worry too much about (DF going out of business). The company was a small time lean company for many years. Just a few owners and limited permanent employees + services provided by others. Up until the first KS Stefan...
