Here’s their Story:
Down into the chasm of the underworld... Across beaches bed by sands of bone.
Charon the ferryman casts off from the pier, and among the quiet, creaking wood betraying the age of his ancient barge, the chime of tribute toppling from his many mounds; only one other sound can be heard; the haunting whispers of the dead, moaning upon the breath of a living mist, summoned forth by the presence of those who bear that which they cannot have. Life.
Desperate and reaching for our heroes, they who dare the voyage of the River. Past all manner of foul creatures and claws that creep in the deep of its waters, only blue wisps of a dank, cold flame marked the waterway in this, the threshold to the abyss.
If only they had understood the path they led, or had sought some keeper of lore to warn them of the dangers ahead. Alas, naught but the carrion corpses and broken bones tell the story of what's to come.
Amidst the restless and spectral grasps of the river's undead, he rises eager to feast: Eurynomos of the Netherworld.
